Living the lake: interiors designed to dialogue with the landscape

Located in the city of Lugano, overlooking the lake and surrounded by greenery, this villa has been completely redesigned in its interiors. The intervention by Falegnameria L’Interno involved the replacement of the existing furnishings, with the aim of redefining the spaces and improving the relationship between natural light and the domestic environment.

Our project developed through a precise selection of materials. Veneered oak is the common thread of the project, as it accompanies the furnishings throughout the house and defines its main surfaces, while black lacquer introduces sharp contrasts and marks the volumes. Marble then comes into play as a material element, interrupting the continuity of the wood without weighing down the overall visual perception of the space.

The living area, an open and well-lit space, is in direct relation with the outdoors. The large full-height windows remove any visual separation and guide the gaze towards the lake, allowing the landscape to naturally enter the house and be embraced by its natural furnishings and warm, comforting tones.

The result? An environment where design and nature collaborate, interact, and intertwine in every corner.
